　　你能在工作場(chǎng)合中保持英語(yǔ)stay on top of嗎？ 或者你覺(jué)得自己的語(yǔ)言學(xué)習已經(jīng)落后了呢？英語(yǔ)是國際商務(wù)語(yǔ)言，但是并不是所有的都那么簡(jiǎn)單易懂。這有一些你可能在辦公室中聽(tīng)到的術(shù)語(yǔ)。

　　Stay on top of

　　如果你覺(jué)得在工作中倍受打擊，那你很可能并沒(méi)有staying on top of your work。這以為著(zhù)要處于主動(dòng)地位，而不是在工作中落后或讓工作堆積如山。

　　On the ball

　　這個(gè)短語(yǔ)來(lái)自于運動(dòng)場(chǎng)。當你on the ball，你必須要警覺(jué)并處于掌控制地位。"Make sure you are on the ball with those reports." 相反的是 drop the ball，意思是你沒(méi)有完成任務(wù)并讓和你一起工作的人失望了。

　　Think outside the box

　　許多的雇主希望他們的員工能夠創(chuàng )新并用不同的方式完成項目。 在這個(gè)短語(yǔ)中，the box代表著(zhù)傳統的智慧，或眾所周知的東西。這句短語(yǔ)意思是想出新的革新的方法。"For this marketing project, we need to think outside the box."

　　Get the ball rolling

　　這句諺語(yǔ)意思是開(kāi)始某事并使之運作起來(lái)。"Let's get the ball rolling on this project."一旦你有個(gè)良好的開(kāi)端，你可能通過(guò)使用keep the ball rolling.表示你的意愿。

　　Brainstorm

　　這意味著(zhù)花時(shí)間想很多的注意。許多的公司會(huì )召開(kāi)brainstorming sessions來(lái)應對問(wèn)題并構思新的想法。"Let's brainstorm new ideas for the advertising campaign."

　　Pull strings

　　你是否擅長(cháng)于multi-tasking或在同一時(shí)間完成多項任務(wù)？ "This week we need you to write a report, make a presentation, and review last year's earnings. I hope you can multi-task!" 盡管你拿到的薪水還是同樣的那份！

　　Bite off more than you can chew

　　如果你接受了太多的工作，你可能就不能正常的完成。"He's working late every night. He bit off more than he could chew."

　　Downtime

　　是不是有沒(méi)有多少工作要做的時(shí)候？或者你的工作只是不象以前那樣忙？這樣的時(shí)段就稱(chēng)作downtime。"If you have some downtime this week, please brainstorm some ideas for our next team outing."
