解讀美國本科轉學(xué)攻略

　　專(zhuān)家解讀一：在美國大學(xué)眼中，你是轉學(xué)生嗎?

　　這是我們最先要考慮的問(wèn)題，也是很多學(xué)生都不清楚的問(wèn)題。由于美國沒(méi)有任何一個(gè)機構去規范大學(xué)里的規章制度和招生制度，所以在轉學(xué)生身份的判斷上，各大學(xué)的要求也是五花八門(mén)。

　　范德寶大學(xué)Vanderbilt University對轉學(xué)生的定義是“學(xué)生必須要完成至少12個(gè)學(xué)分的課程才能被視為轉學(xué)生Student must have completed at least 12 semester hours of credit to be considered for transfer”。這相當于一個(gè)學(xué)期的課程。

　　賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)University of Pennsylvania在其網(wǎng)站上對轉學(xué)生的定義是“轉學(xué)生要在入讀學(xué)年的春季至少要完成一整年的可接受轉學(xué)分的課程At least one full year of transferable academic coursework (8 courses) must be completed by the close of the spring term prior to the September of anticipated enrollment at Penn”。

　　而圣路易斯華盛頓大學(xué)的要求則相對寬松，“You have finished secondary school and completed some college study”。

　　最后來(lái)看一下備受中國學(xué)生青睞的加州大學(xué)伯克利分校對于轉學(xué)生的定義：“想要轉學(xué)進(jìn)入加州伯克利大學(xué)，學(xué)生要在入讀學(xué)年的春季獲得不低于60個(gè)UC系統認可的可轉學(xué)分，這通常需要完成前兩年的大學(xué)課程Eligibility for transfer requires completion of a minimum of 60 UC-transferable semester units by the end of the spring semester before you begin study at UC Berkeley. This usually equals to two years of full-time post-secondary study”。注意，這里說(shuō)的60個(gè)學(xué)分，是“UC系統認可的可轉學(xué)分”。

　　所以我們說(shuō)，本科轉學(xué)是所有美國大學(xué)申請中最復雜、最多樣化的申請。
