1)Whatever great achievements the future may have in store for China,it's likely that many of them will be born in northwestern Beijing.(無(wú)論中國將來(lái)會(huì )有什樣么的偉大成就，其中許多很有可能將誕生在北京的西東部。）
in store的意思是“就要到來(lái)”；“必將發(fā)生”。又如：
1.I have a surprise in store for you. 我有個(gè)你意想不到的消息告訴你。
2.There are better days in store for you. 有好日子等著(zhù)你。
3.Who knows what the future has in store for us? 誰(shuí)知道未來(lái)等待著(zhù)我們的是什么。
2)I will never forget how happy I was when I set foot in China again and was back with my friends and family. (我永遠不會(huì )忘記當我再次踏上中國的土地和我的朋友及家人團聚時(shí),那種感覺(jué)有多幸福。)
set foot in/on的意思是“進(jìn)入”；“踏進(jìn)”。又如：
1.He said he would never set foot in that house again. 他說(shuō)他永遠不再踏進(jìn)那座房子了。
2.They were filled with joy when they set foot on Chinese soil in late July. 當七月底踏上中國的土地時(shí)，他們高興極了。
